2015 Jeep patriot A/C making terrible noise (47Kmiles)- took to the service at Bartow Thunder and was turned away because I didn't have an appointment - was told it was ok to drive it and come back with an appointment - to make a long story short i did bring it back with an appointment - still took 6 days to get it back - when I dropped it off for repair was told "dangerous to drive it - have to leave it" - after driving it for 4 days because I was told it was ok to drive - then when I paid by my credit card they added almost 70 bucks on for a "service fee"....... just another way to make money I guess.......... and they really should have a sign out - no appointment no service - ridiculous - will not buy there again - will not take my car there for service again.........
There was a car on their lot that was a turn in, they were going to get rid of it so I offered cash. They proceeded to price the car well over 3 times the value of what it was worth. These guys can do what they want, but were just wasting everyone's time here.
Very slow on updates and if your car is under warranty their trying to find a way for you to come out of pocket for some type of repairs
will never use this dealership again for service. Jeep went in with concerns of worn out ball joints, after 3 months they replaced the lower control arms and a timing cover gasket which were neither part of my customer complaint. finally got the Jeep back and the alignment is so far off that It's hard to keep it on the road. ball joints are now louder than ever, and when you apply the brakes the steering wheel shakes so hard you can almost not hold it.
Was a great place to purchase until my last purchase. I am a firm believer of do what you say and say what you mean and that was not the case. I will now be purchasing else where
Beautiful facility, but service is not great. Came in because my 2021 Jeep Wrangler was getting the "death wobble", I'd just moved to the area and the reviews here were good. After waiting for a couple of hours, I was told they needed to order a front dampener and it would be 4-6 weeks before it came in. Fine, no problem. Yesterday I get the call that the part has arrived. Great... when can I come in? Anytime, I'm told, it's a super quick installation. I confirm that I don't need an appointment... nope, you do not. Ok, so I hop in the jeep this morning at 8am to make the 30 minute drive to get the part installed and a different guy tells me "oh no, it's not a quick procedure, it will take at least two hours. I don't want to be moved to the front of the line or anything, but I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed if the guy displayed any concern whatsoever that I had been misled and was now stuck, once again, for several hours waiting. Very disappointing experience. There are other dealers closer to me that I'll need to try out.
I brought my Ram into the shop Friday because I had a dead battery that morning. I brought it in at 730-800am. I knew there was a recall on it as well. Knowing both services should be covered by warranty, I also ordered an oil change and tire rotation. At the time of drop-off I was told the diagnostic check would take 4 hours. At 415pm I called and was told they were still doing the diagnostics and it would have to stay over the weekend. I drove up there to get my golf clubs out so I could play over the weekend and realized that my truck was in a back lot and had never been diagnosed to begin with. If you are backed up, just tell the customer. There was no need for the story. Furthermore, it continued Monday as well. I drove to the shop at 1230 and saw my truck parked in parking place 6. I was called soon after that and told it was a bad battery and they just needed to do the oil change and tire rotation. I told them I get off work at 330 and I would be there then. When I showed up, my truck was still parked in space 6. Went to service counter and was told he was going to run it through the car wash. One hour later I finally left. I think the oil was changed during that hour. What I know is that the tires were never rotated as I have a slow leak in the back left tire and the low tire is still on the back left. I have no real confidence that the oil was actually changed.
I’m going to give 2 stars because the buying experience was great. The service stops there! We have been attempting to get a fifth wheel hitch installed since July 18, 2023 (first scheduled installation date) Today is August 7, 2023). I woke up to a text message saying that the hitch did not arrive again and there is no way of tracking delivery still! Now mind you I live approximately 1 1/2 hours from the dealership! I believe this was the third time that we have had an installation date. We have only driven there once to find it out wasn’t there but I’m still in awe! This is terrible as I’m ready to go elsewhere! They have promised us discounted pricing but is it worth the stress? Communication and customer service are very poor in the service area. I do not recommend the service or parts department if they can’t track parts. I requested a call from the manger over an hour ago in service to explain why we had an appointment scheduled when he was unsure of the parts arrival. I’m still waiting for that call. What a shocker! I typically have to call him back at the end of the day.
Dropped my car off for my 'Recall' appointment at 12:30. Wasn't told how long it would take, was asked if I wanted to wait, I said no, because it has always been several hours to get any service done. I was told I would get a call when it was ready. I hadn't heard from anyone at 4:00pm, so I called and was told it would be another hour to hour and a half. I called them again at 7:00 pm. and was told it would be a little bit longer. I got a call that my car is ready at 7:40pm. When I picked it up I was told that they had been having troubles all day getting the parts that they needed. I find that strange since I had this appointment for a while and they knew what I was coming in for (Recall) and they should have had all the parts needed when I got there.
I took my cat in for an oil change and tire rotation. I’m assuming that a tire rotation would include checking the tire pressure. The tire pressure was 31, 33, 31, and 31. Then I looked at my tires. There weren’t any finger prints or smudge marks on any of my rims and they are dirty. So I question if I paid for a tire rotation that I didn’t actually get
My second time servicing the vehicle and the wait time is always moderate, it’s Waher you'd expect a service wait time will be.This time however there was a problem after my vehicle was serviced it was returned with a missing lug nut. I understand these things can happen how ever the service agent who I had the appointment with did not even let me know it was one of the technicians and since I didn’t understand I went to the service desk and asked about it. Said it was something probably done wrong the first time and it fell off at some point “probably” when I know my vehicle was complete in parts upon arrival. It’s a family vehicle and I didn’t feel confortable about the fact but I didn’t really have any choice at the time. Expecting to go in Saturday to receive the replacement lug nut for my jeep.
Came in for service and to look for new vehicle. Stood in showroom for 10 mins while staff walked past and never acknowledged my existence. Finally walked over to who I assume was a manager(glass office up front). When I asked if I could ask him a question the first time he looked at me then back to messing with turning a TV on. I then asked again and he gave me the aggravated "yep...." Never mind, you reminded me of how this place will never be what Tom Edwards was... Bartow Ford, here I come...
If you insist...I had a 7:30am appointment for four new tires, an alinement and an oil change unfortunately my car wasn't finished until 4:30pm,yes they were curious and did a good job...but 9 hours, that's a bit much.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. On top of selling us a truck that didn’t work, which on the test drive worked just fine and had no error codes and then magically an hour and a half on the ride home every error code popped on. To which I took it to a private mechanic and was told the truck needed a new DPF among numerous other things (which I didn’t think it was legal for a dealership to sell trucks that didn’t meet emissions code). WE WERE NEVER MADE AWARE OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE TRUCK as Mike the used car manager and Red the sales person told us numerous times it was a great truck and had ZERO issues. ERIC R HALE left a message back to my fiancés review and stated the truck was never advertised on the lot because it was going to auction and we specifically signed a disclosure which stated specific things wrong with the truck and stating it was going to auction which is a blatant lie. Also saying it was “mechanics special” is false: the truck was advertised and presented as a normal besides an “as is” which stated no such thing. You’re essentially telling us you told we were purchasing a $36,000 truck that didn’t run… ARE YOU NUTS? The truck was advertised like any normal vehicle… straight from your website…. They are thieves…. DO NOT BUY HERE
I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. I bought a used truck from this dealership, fully aware it had some miles on it—but what they sold me was not just “used,” it was legit broken. When I test drove it, everything seemed fine. No warning lights, drove smooth, no obvious issues. Looking back, that should have been my first red flag. After agreeing to the purchase, they took the truck “to detail it and fill it with gas,” and disappeared for nearly two hours. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. The second I drove it home the truth came out. Every warning light imaginable lit up on the dashboard after maybe 25 miles—check engine, everything. It was like the truck transformed the moment I left the lot and turning around at this point was not an option. I immediately had a private mechanic look at it, for two weeks, and they told me it appeared the dealership had rigged something temporarily just to get it off their lot. Apparently, they even used some random Japanese part as a quick fix to mask the real issues. Since then, dealing with the dealership (sales, service, all of it) has been a nightmare. They act polite and reassuring at first, constantly telling you they’ll “make it right,” but it’s all talk. Weeks turn into months, and nothing actually gets done. You just get strung along with empty promises while they avoid taking responsibility. Their favorite excuse is, we ordered the part, so if they tell this to you know it's not true. It’s been three months now, and I’m still stuck with a broken truck that should have never been sold in the condition it was in. This entire dealership feels like a scam. They knowingly sold me a faulty vehicle and went out of their way to hide the problems long enough to close the deal. Then they dragged things out afterward so they wouldn’t have to fix anything. Save yourself the stress, time, and money—do NOT shop here.
Was working a deal with them. Noticed a lot of dealer markup for silly add-ons that weren’t clear what they were. Also noticed that their doc fees and non-tax fees seem to be almost double that of the industry average. When they presented numbers to me, I advised them that the numbers didnt make sense for me and politely thanked them for their time, to which they didn’t even respond or seek to clarify. It seems they are looking to take advantage of less informed shoppers, which is a shame.
Do NOT go to this location for any service related issues! I went for a simple turn signal light replacement and after more than 10 hours over the course of 2 Saturdays, I still dont have a functioning turn signal. I went last Saturday and after hours of waiting I was told that parts needed to be ordered. I received a call and text during the week stating parts have arrived. I came back at 8am on the following Saturday to have the install completed (appointment made each Saturday). After waiting for 5 hours, I was told once again that parts needed to be ordered and the cost for this particular part would be $500!! This was a complete waste of time. Also, my jeep was damaged and now my fender is hanging off. I highly recommend going elsewhere for any service. This was a complete nightmare!!
I would not recommend this dealership or their service/repair department based on my recent experiences. I brought in my Jeep Wrangler due to a malfunctioning door sensor and an issue with the keyless entry system, which prevented the door from locking and unlocking properly. As a woman who isn’t particularly well-versed in car repairs, I trusted that the service team would provide an honest and accurate assessment. They informed me that a diagnostic test would be necessary to determine whether the issue was with the door handle or the wiring. After completing the diagnostic (for which I was charged $200), I was told the entire door handle needed to be replaced—at a cost of over $1,000. The price seemed excessive, so I declined the repair and instead consulted with a trusted mechanic. He offered to replace the door handle for $350. Because third-party mechanics can’t access Jeep’s diagnostic systems, we went ahead based on the dealership’s diagnosis. After replacing the handle, the issue remained. My mechanic investigated further and discovered a snapped wire inside the door. The door handle had never been the issue, and replacing it was completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first poor experience with this dealership. On a previous visit, I was told I needed a new battery due to problems with the vehicle’s computer system. I later had the battery tested at a battery shop, where it was found to be in perfect working condition. After multiple inaccurate and costly misdiagnoses, I no longer feel I can trust this dealership's service department. I left feeling misled and taken advantage of, and I would advise others—especially those who may not be car-savvy—to proceed with caution.
