The Story of #DuckDuckJeep

The story of the #DuckDuckJeep movement is as unique and adventurous as the Jeeps themselves. It all began in July 2020 when Allison Parliament had an unfortunate encounter at a gas station in Ontario. After being verbally and physically harassed, Allison sought to turn a negative experience into something positive. She placed a rubber duck on a nearby Jeep with a note, intending to spread a bit of lightheartedness. What started as a small gesture of kindness quickly evolved into a worldwide movement.

When Allison shared the story online, it went viral almost immediately. Jeepers around the world started “ducking” each other’s Jeeps, leaving ducks and notes of appreciation on Jeeps they encountered. From the U.S. to Australia, Egypt to Kosovo, Jeepers everywhere embraced the movement, which became a symbol of kindness and camaraderie within the Jeep community.

Allison’s message was simple: “Choose kindness.” She believed that everyone had their own struggles, and a small gesture could make a huge difference in someone’s day. The #DuckDuckJeep movement grew far beyond what she ever imagined, uniting Jeep owners with this fun and meaningful tradition.

The movement reached a milestone when Thunder Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram became Allison’s core sponsor. In recognition of her incredible work, they gifted her a brand new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, solidifying their bond with the movement. Thunder Chrysler also became the Official U.S. Dealership of #DuckDuckJeep, proudly supporting Allison’s vision and the Jeep community.

Allison's Legacy

Alison Themed Jeep

Tragically, in June 2024, Allison passed away. Her passing was deeply felt throughout the Jeep world, but her legacy lives on through the movement she created. Jeepers across the globe continue to duck each other, sharing rubber ducks and spreading smiles in her honor. Her mother, Cheryl Parliament, now carries on the #DuckDuckJeep torch, ensuring that Allison’s spirit of kindness and connection remains alive.
